WHIRLPOOL RAPIDS AND NIAGARA GORGE

This stop allows you to capture stunning memories and images of the swirling Niagara Whirlpool and the Class 6 whitewater rapids of the Niagara River. These are created due to a stark and sudden change in direction coupled with the rapid speed of the water-flow. The speed of the water in the Niagara River differs South of Niagara Falls where the river widens and slows and increases in speed after the falls where the Whirlpool Rapids are located.

This stop on the tour is home to attractions such as the Whirlpool Aero Car and the fairly new White Water Walk. The Whirlpool Aero Car is an antique cable car that is suspended above the white water rapids of the Niagara River. This attraction has been in operation since 1916. The White Water Walk is a boardwalk that stretches along the white water rapids of the Niagara River, and allows customers to walk in close proximity to this wonder.
