Niagara falls takes on a new form this season, as a premium shopping district. It has been announced that construction has begun on the site of The Outlet Collection at Niagara, an outlet shopping centre project in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Planned to open in May 2014 following an investment of nearly $200 million, the new outlet centre will feature close to 100 marquee retailers and coveted collections for value-seeking shoppers including; Banana Republic, Bench Outlet, Brooks Brother Outlet, Calvin Klein, Forever 21, Gap Outlet, Nike, Roots, Izod, Michael Kors Outlet, Naturalizer, Osh Kosh, Tommy Hilfiger and Van Heusen.
It will be called the ‘outlet collection at Niagara’ and will be Canada’s largest open-air outlet mall. The mall will also feature a farmer’s market, in which local Niagara
region and International produce will be presented. The Niagara Falls draws an estimated 12 Million tourists to the city alone, and opening the mall will cause the
number to boost right up. This new mall could make Niagara-on-the-lake a big time outlet shopping destination.
It’s said that Niagara-on-the-Lake’s climate, with little snow, is ideal for the open-air concept. Coverings between buildings will be in place to keep sh
oppers weather protected. The outlet collection is planned for an opening date of May 15, 2014.
